IBUG – GERMANY -

In September 2009 Faunagraphic and myself were invited to the small town of Meerane in east Germany for the IBUG event. IBUG is an event which which allows visiting artists from all over the world to take over an abandoned and derelict building for 2 weeks.
During the 2 weeks artists work with the interior and exterior of the building to produce paintings and sculpture that include the remains of the builing to become 1 huge piece of artwork.

After two weeks the building is opened up to the public and a party is held. Canvas work is put on display and the people can then look around and take photos.Faunagraphic and myself prepared work before hand then drove over to the event. We created large pieces of work on wood which we then attached to the walls and of the building. We also painted a number of pieces and collaborated with some great artists from across the world.
To see some of the work we created take a look in the Collaborations and the Muck pages of the site. Also check out the ibug website here http://www.ibug-art.de/
